The history of Cotroceni neighbourhood starts with the 17th-century monastery built by Şerban Cantacuzino. Nowadays the royal palace of Cotroceni houses the Cotroceni National Museum, and it's also the headquarters of the Romanian Presidency. The tour takes you from the inner courtyard through several halls and rooms, as well as private apartments of the royals – such as King Ferdinand's or Queen Marie's apartments.
