Taxis are widely spread across Bucharest. The taxi fares are much more affordable compared to other international destinations starting from around 1,6 RON per km. All the registered taxis have a meter and can issue a receipt.

One useful taxi app that you can use in Bucharest is “Clever”.

!!! Pay attention to the fare charged by the taxi. The fare is displayed on the door of each car. Do not negotiate with the driver and ask him to always use the meter. During evening or major events the majority of the taxi drivers try to impose higher fares without using the meter.

Uber

Uber service is available in Bucharest with minimum fares starting for UberX from 10 RON and for UberSELECT from 12 RON. The basic fares per km start from 1.3 RON for UberX and 1.65 RON for Uber Select.
